Certain couples and individuals on the path to parenthood may need or choose to use eggs provided by a donor. Recipients of donor eggs at Chicago IVF will be asked which characteristics are important to them when choosing a donor—such as physical traits, like hair and eye color, weight, build, complexion, race, blood type, and family medical background. Based on these criteria, you’ll be able to choose from our extensive, nationwide database.
At Chicago IVF, we’re honored to assist the young women who donate their eggs to those in need. Egg donation can be of great benefit to patients facing difficulties achieving pregnancy, such as those caused by premature ovarian failure (early menopause), occult ovarian failure, or advanced maternal age.
Your comfort with the egg donation process is extremely important to us, and we guarantee every donor’s confidentiality. We’re committed to providing a supportive environment and ensuring your thorough understanding of what to expect before, during, and after the procedure. Ideal donors are women dedicated to helping other women overcome infertility, preferably those who already have children and no history of infertility.
If you choose to donate, we’ll ask you to complete a questionnaire and provide a recent photo of yourself, which is kept confidential and only used internally to help match you with a donor recipient.
