Insurance & Fees

How much does IVF cost?

  • We offer a comprehensive self-pay package for IVF that includes blood work, ultrasound monitoring, egg retrieval, and embryo transfer during your IVF process.
  • Medications, pre-testing, and surgical center pricing are not included in this package. However, we do our best to obtain sample medication for our patients that do not have insurance coverage.
  • We have dedicated financial counselors on staff that can help with any financial questions or concerns you have along the way.

Do you have payment plans?

  • Chicago IVF is proud to partner with ARC Fertility and Prosper Healthcare Lending to offer fertility financing. You can learn more by visiting here. You will receive a response with rates and terms without affecting your credit. Fees to Chicago IVF will be due at time of service and payments will be made to either ARC Fertility or Prosper Healthcare Lending.
  • Again, we are dedicated to helping our patients as much as possible, and have financial counselors that can help you with any financial questions or concerns you may have.

Do you accept my insurance?

  • We accept a large variety of insurance plans. You can view more information on insurance here.
  • We'd also like to let you know that as a courtesy to all of our patients, we perform a verification of benefits prior to your initial office visit with us. When you arrive to your appointment one of our front desk or financial counselor staff members will review your insurance benefits in detail with you.

Treatment

Do you treat male fertility problems?

Yes, we absolutely treat male fertility problems – it is one of our specialties! Just the same as we treat female fertility problems, we will do an initial consultation to review your medical history and then order any necessary testing. After your testing is completed you will have a consultation with one of our physicians to discuss your best plan of care.

Do you do tubal ligation reversals?

  • Yes, our physicians have performed thousands of IVF procedures and hundreds of tubal reversals. Our team is one of the country’s leaders in both of these areas.
  • In many cases IVF is less costly and more successful than tubal reversals. However, we cannot provide personal medical information over the phone. We would love to schedule a consultation for you with one of our nurse practitioners to discuss your options.

How much is a tubal ligation reversal?

  • A tubal ligation reversal can cost between $12,000 and $18,000. We have dedicated financial counselors that can discuss this in further detail with you.

Do you have egg donors available?

Yes, we have two options for egg donor recipients:

  1. Fresh egg donors [known or unknown] - You would select an egg donor from our egg donor bank on our website. Our egg donor coordinator would then arrange for you and your egg donor to prepare for egg retrieval and embryo transfer by scheduling the appropriate bloodwork, ultrasounds, and proper medication monitoring.
  2. Frozen egg donors – You would select and egg donor from our affiliate My Egg Bank. These egg donors have already gone through the IVF process and have frozen eggs cryopreserved. You will receive 6 donor eggs that will be shipped to our surgical center from Atlanta, Georgia. You will be scheduled for bloodwork, ultrasounds, and medication monitoring before your embryo transfer will take place.

Can we use donated sperm?

Yes, you can. You will be able to discuss the process for using donated sperm with our nurse practitioner at the time of your appointment. She will inform you of all treatment options, as well as the process for using donated sperm.

Why do I have to see the nurse practitioner first; can’t I just see the doctor?

Our nurse practitioners are medically trained experts in reviewing patient’s H&P [history and physical] and assessing what testing needs to be completed before fertility treatments can be started. Meeting with our nurse practitioner guarantees that all the preliminary testing needed before consulting with one of our physicians is completed; this helps prevent any delays in starting your fertility treatment. We follow this process to assure that you are receiving the highest level of care from us.

Do you treat patients age 40 and older?

Yes, the physicians and staff of Chicago IVF consult with and treat patients age 40 and older. We will provide a treatment plan that best suits your family planning goals in coordination with your age. Our physicians will provide the same expert advice and recommendations provided to all patients.

Do you treat patients with a high BMI?

Yes, we do see patients with a high BMI. In cases where a high BMI is present, your physician may recommend lifestyle changes to improve your BMI prior to treatment in order to better improve your chances of success. Each individual case is different, so physician recommendations can vary depending on personal medical history, family medical history, etc.

Do you treat patients who have experienced recurrent [multiple] miscarriage?

Yes, if you have experienced one or more miscarriages we encourage you to contact Chicago IVF for a consultation. Our physicians have experience treating cases of recurrent miscarriage, and can assist with determining a diagnosis and treatment plan.

About Chicago IVF

Do you have a female physician?

  • We are extremely sensitive to the privacy and comfort of all of our patients. We have one male physician and one female physician, three female nurse practitioners, and our entire clinical team is all female.
  • We'd like to explain the process we follow at Chicago IVF to help put your mind at ease. You will first meet with one of our nurse practitioners to review your medical history and discuss any necessary testing prior to starting fertility treatments. The testing will potentially consist of bloodwork, ultrasounds, uterine cavity exam and/or tubal exam, as well as a semen analysis if you have a male partner. All testing will be completed with either the nurse practitioner or one of our clinicians. After testing is completed, you will then meet with one of our physicians to review your results and discuss the best treatment plan for you. Once you begin your fertility treatment you will do a series of bloodwork and ultrasound monitoring that will be performed with your clinician. So, you will be spending the majority of your time with the nurse practitioner and clinicians [always under the direct supervision of your physician].

What are your success rates?

  • Success rates depend upon which therapy you go through. In general, IVF has double to triple the success rate of other therapies. But IVF is the most costly and involved therapy
  • We treat thousands of couples with much simpler, less costly treatments such as IUI's.
  • We are performing dozens of IVF procedures each month, and maintaining very high pregnancy rates.
  • However, success rates depend upon your age and medical details. There are two things we would like to tell you about success rates:
  1. You should sit directly with a doctor after you have had medical testing; this will give you the best indicator of your personal success rate; and
  2. CIVF has successfully assisted close to 11,000 couples from all over the world achieve success in becoming pregnant. This includes both IVF and IUI pregnancies.
